Jersey City Independent Weekend Best Bets

As usual there is a lot going on in town this weekend. Tonight kicks off with JC Fridays, meaning there will be art and music events throughout the city. JCI will be at Statuary event tonight stop by and pick up your copy of our Fall issue.

Tonight through Sunday The American Soldier Solo Show plays at the Mile Square Theater. This Off Broadway award nominated one man show explores the bravery and difficulties our veterans with PTSD and their families face on a daily basis.

On Sunday there is a book signing with Heather Green, author of To Catch a Cat: How Three Stray Kittens Rescued Me, at Word Bookstore. A portion of the books sold will be donated to Companion Animal Trust and down the block Fussy Friends will hold their weekly cat adoption.

And next Saturday, Sept. 17 is the annual All About Downtown Street Fair. One of Jersey City’s biggest outdoor events with more than 50,000 people expected to attend. This is a not to miss event!
