Craft Brew Festival Comes to Jersey City

August 29, 2016 Mel Kozakiewicz

In the spirit of Germany’s traditional Oktoberfest, Jersey City’s Harborside will be hosting its own Craft Brew Festival on October 15.

Guests are invited to discover new beers and will have an opportunity to speak to brewery representatives. Of the 150 vendors, approximately 15 breweries are from New Jersey, including Jersey City’s own Departed Soles, Hoboken’s 902 Brewing, NJ Beer Co, and many more.

“We’re not sure what beers yet that we’ll be showcasing,” says Brian Kulbacki, owner and founder of Departed Soles. “Probably just two of them… likely one of our gluten free options and then perhaps one of our fall beers. We tend not to decide these things until the date when we can assess the weather and what might hit the spot for everyone!”

Guests will enjoy unlimited craft beer samples, paired with live music from Drum and a Tantrum (a Jersey City based group consisting of Russell deMoose on drums & strings and Julian Altbuch on piano & vocals) and Street Hassle and the Brass Balls (a 12 piece band with 5 horns and 2 female vocalists). Food will be available from food trucks including the Cow and the Curd, Urban Lobster Shack, San Matteo Pizza, Mac Truck NYC & Nuchas.

There are two sessions, the first running from 12:00 4:00 pm, the second spanning from 5:30 – 9:30 pm. Early bird pricing begins at $60 for general admission, $15 for a designated driver ticket. (Prices increase to $70 October 1.) All tickets include unlimited tastings and a souvenir tasting glass.

Harborside Craft Brew Fest will take place during two sessions (12-4, 5:30-9:30) on October 15, 2016 at the Harborside Plaza 3, Jersey City. More information and link to tickets available at
